Before every use:

#1. Thoroughly check your machine over and tighten any loose nuts, bolts and clamps as necessary.

#2. Remove any dust and dirt or anything else caught in the cylinder head fins and engine block cooling fins.

#3. Look out for signs of any fuel leaks and fix them where necessary.

#4. Make absolutely sure that the throttle and choke levers work well and fix them if necessary.

#5. See that the cutting wheel does not move while the machine is left on idle. If it continues to rotate you must adjust the carburettor before further use.

#6. Inspect the cutting wheel and make sure it is top condition. You must not use a cutting wheel that has any cracks or chips in it.

#7. Make absolutely certain that the fuel is mixed exactly as recommended in the operator's manual.

Frequently:

#8. Inspect all air filter system components. Change or clean air cleaner parts exactly as recommended in your operators manual.

#9. Inspect the fuel filter for dirt and damage. If it's damaged in any way, replace it, if it's dirty then clean it.

#10. Ensure that the drive belt is correctly tensioned. When correctly adjusted the v-belt should be able to move between 5mm and 10mm with a little finger pressure.

#11. Inspect the spark plug. If it is fairly clean just check and adjust the electrode gap. If the plug is very dirty you must investigate the cause.

#12. Look inside the exhaust system and inspect the spark arrester, if it is blocked or missing you must fit a new spark arrester.

#13. Fully extend the starting cord and check for any signs of damage. If the cord is heavily worn then replace it as soon as possible.

Long term storage:

#14. Empty the fuel tank and clean it out.

#15. Start the engine and run it until it stalls to remove all the fuel from the carburettor.

#16. Take off the cutting disc then lightly attach the thrust washer and fixing bolt.

#17. Wipe the machine over to get rid of all dust and debris. Spray the machine with water dispersing oil for good measure.

#18. Ideally keep your TS410 in a sealed box or otherwise cover well with a suitable dust proof material.

#19. Keep your TS410 away from curious children!

#20. Keep your TS410 in a secure location away from prying eyes and light fingers!
